In the face of downtown, this memorial honors men and women of the United States Military who have served this country.  The memorial is made up of a bronze statue center piece that sits on top of a gray granite pedestal.  On the sides, black granite round plaques are engraved and represent all 5 branches of the military.  Around the center pedestal you will see 6 free standing black granite slabs - names of veterans are on one side, historical data of the areas of war are engraved on the other.  On the backside of the memorial is the longest free standing, laser engraved, black granite wall that has ever been constructed.  You will notice portraits of family heroes, along with iconic military and war pictures.  Additionally, flags, donor benches, donor pavers, lighting, and landscaping make this area complete.  Don't forget to take a look at the mural that sits north of the memorial.
